More about me

Where I have worked

Integra Asset Management

Investment intern

Dubai, 24 August to 18 September 2026

A one-month internship at a MENA-focused equities asset manager, with responsibilities spread across research, technology and operations.

Research and analysis

Built DCF and comparable-company models for MENA firms including MEPCO and DTC, developing a working understanding of how to forecast and break down line items where disclosure standards are less detailed than in developed markets. Also tracked catalysts and headwinds affecting sectors across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Automation and AI

Worked alongside the firm's technology lead on applying AI to investment workflows. Built an attribution interface for portfolio manager review, covering IRR distributions across sectors, geographies and individual holdings alongside portfolio performance against benchmark. Also developed an email ingestion pipeline that consolidates research and market correspondence into a single interface, using open-weight models and API calls to reduce the manual load in the PM's information flow.

Trade execution and compliance

Logged each day's executed trades into the firm's compliance system, categorising by broker, custodian, SMA and trade detail — a first-hand lesson in why independent post-trade verification matters in a regulated environment.

Franklin Templeton

HeadStart programme

Dubai, 27 July to 7 August 2026

A two-week programme at Franklin Templeton's Dubai office, rotating across desks to see how different parts of the asset management business operate through hands-on work.

Institutional sales

Contributed to pitches for Franklin Templeton funds, including the Gulf Wealth Bond Fund, learning how strategies are positioned and communicated to institutional allocators.

Private credit

Forecast cash flows for regional companies not yet EBITDA-positive, as part of assessing whether credit should be extended — and what the structure would need to look like to compensate for that risk.

MENA equities

Studied how GCC and wider emerging markets differ from developed markets, particularly in depth of disclosure, liquidity conditions, and the practical constraints those place on both research and position sizing.

The fund

A leveraged long/short equity and options book run for family and friends through Interactive Brokers. Every figure here is pulled straight from the brokerage account and refreshes on its own each Saturday, while the markets are closed.
